Linx Gaia Vaporizer – A precision piece of kit

Enjoy clean and flavorful dry herb vaporization with the High Times "Best Portable Vaporizer" winning Linx Vapor Gaia.

Over the years, portable vapes seem to have nailed what it takes to make a user-friendly experience. For some people, a dry herb vaporizer may be a dream come true. Thanks again to our friends at TVape, we got our hands on the new Linx Gaia vaporizer, a glamorous looking device that features a next-generation full quartz heating chamber, digital OLED display, air insulation and hybrid heating technology.

This Gaia vaporizer is Linx Vapor’s first venture into the world of dry herb vaporizers, previously known for their high-quality concentrate pens. You need to know that Linx products aren’t just vaporizers, they are works of art.

Linx Gaia – Innovative air insulation technology

The combination of a hybrid heating system, that combines both methods of conduction and convection, and the primary way your cannabis gets vaporized is by heat radiated through the quartz oven walls. There are no plastics or silicone in the equation.

The biggest plus comes from the air insulation technology, the quartz chamber that is used inside the vape which is an excellent feature and impressive to look at through the quartz lined walls. The air flows directly through the chamber to the glass mouthpiece, bypassing the internal electronic components of the vape offering the smoothest and purest flavor.

Linx is the first company we know of to release a dry herb vape that has a quartz chamber.

The Gaia vaporizer comes with a hide-away herbal tool that is secured by a magnet and tucks right into the bottom of the device. You can turn it on without heating, that means you can check the battery level or change the temperature without burning your herb and protect the cannabinoids from being vaporized.

The Gaia’s unit does not heat up even when it is set to the highest power and it takes only about 20-25 seconds to reach the desired temperature.

Design and Build Quality

This is a precision piece of kit. The Linx Gaia is a sophisticatedly built device to make its use extremely practical. The durability of the Linx Gaia is great, the body is completely metal and has the weight and feel of a well-engineered product designed with an apple-like flair, made of high-quality materials. The unit is very well built and durable, and if you accidentally drop it, it will survive without any substantial damage.

The medical grade stainless steel body is accented with silver trim and the buttons are firmly set in place. Also, the classic retro looks set the Gaia apart in a crowded segment of the vape market, a very unique style that we haven’t seen before.

This vaporizer is small enough it can fit into your pocket and it can be used very discreetly as well.

High-Quality Vapor

The quality of vapour might be your cup of tea. The taste coming off the Gaia is spectacular, especially with the first few draws. The chamber and mouthpiece, both made of fused Quartz, keep the taste smooth. Vapor production is pretty average and you should expect light to medium clouds from this one at most temperatures within the normal vaping range. If you want bigger clouds you have to raise the temperature above 400°F but expect the vapor to be a little harsher and not as comfortable, but the Gaia is built for flavor, not cloud production.

We recommend using the device between 320ºF (160°C) to 383ºF (195°C). With lower temperature you will also achieve a better flavour quality, and the battery will last longer. The device itself can reach a temperature of 420°F (215°C).

The vapor is cool and does not require the use of a water bubbler, but in case you want, Linx offers a compatible bubbler and water pipe adapter.

Battery and Temperature Settings

With a Lithium-ion battery capacity of 2200 mAh, it can last for about two hours during a standard operation and the full charge time battery is about three hours. The OLED screen indicates battery level and temperature settings, which adjust in single degree increments between 200º F (93ºC) and 428ºF (220ºC).

What’s in the box

Everything you need to get started is in the box. The necessary USB charger, filters and a small packing tool, all come with the Linx Gaia. The Linx Gaia is a compact, attractive and affordable dry herb vape, putting it right in there with other mid-tier priced vaporizers. But the function and design make it look like a much more expensive device.

It comes in three colors: stainless steel, onyx and gold. You can buy the Linx Gaia vaporizer from Tvape: US – Europe.

Overall, if you are looking for a good quality portable vaporizer, the Linx Gaia is the right choice.
